1. Claims can only be accepted from registered schools in the Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council area. We cannot accept claims from individuals or other organisations.
2. Non-participating schools within Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council may request a registration form by calling 01772 770765. Calls charged at standard rate.
3. Participating schools must nominate a member of staff who will administer the scheme in accordance with these terms and conditions.
4. ‘Recycling Rewards for Schools’ points can be redeemed for equipment at any period between 29th October 2007 and May 31st 2008. Any Pledge points not redeemed after this date may be redeemed for a non-negotiable cash equivalent of 3p per point to July 31st 2008.
5. Only one Pledge per household can be accepted at any one time.
6. All Pledge point redemptions (claims) must be made through the Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council claims department at: Recycling Rewards for Schools Scheme, FREEPOST, NEA 16094, Preston PR5 6BR.
7. All goods will be dispatched via carrier and will require a signature as proof of delivery.
8. All items are subject to availability.
9. Whilst every effort has been made in preparation of the descriptions of the items featured in this catalogue, neither Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council or their agents can be held responsible for alterations in points value, specification made by manufacturers, or the substitution of a replacement item in the event of nonavailability or discontinuation of the item.
10. Accessories, installation costs or batteries are not included unless stated otherwise.
11. Pledges are only accepted from households within Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council district.
12. Points will only be given to registered schools.
13. Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged applications. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
14. There is no limit to the number of Pledges a school can redeem, provided claim requirements and the Terms & Conditions are met in full.
15. Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council shall not be liable for any damage, claim or costs, however incurred, arising from this promotion, or from the failure of schools to follow the instructions and guidelines set out.
16. Once a claim is made it cannot be changed or amended.
17. Merchandise will be posted to registered schools within 28 days of their receipt of a valid claim, subject to availability.
18. Force Majeure: Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council will not be liable for failure or delay in delivery or performance of their obligations under these terms and conditions due to any unforeseen cause beyond their reasonable control.
19. Where Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council believe that there has been a breach of the terms and conditions, they will refuse to process any such claims.
20. ‘Recycling Rewards for Schools’ Pledge forms may be transferred between schools, but payments between schools must not occur. Households may transfer Pledges between schools during the duration of the scheme.
21. In the event of circumstances beyond its control, Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council will reserve the right to vary the conditions of the scheme at any time.
22. It is deemed that, in respect of any photography arranged in relation to the scheme, the owner and participants in the photograph grant a licence to Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council to use the photograph in publicity or other material in relation to ‘Recycling Rewards for Schools’.
23. These terms and conditions and any claim placed hereunder shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with English law subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
